Now you can make your alarm systems ‘BROADBAND-READY' by fitting our new low cost ACT 4343 Boxed Harwired Broadband Filter as standard.

The unit consists of a surface mountable box that contains a SIN 346 compliant ADSL filter circuit with screw terminals which provides the correct filtering of signals to allow simultaneous use of both the auto dialler and broadband services.

If your customer upgrades to broadband without telling you, your communicator may no longer work in the event of a break-in. This could compromise your customer’s insurance if the analogue communicator fails to work by changing to a digital broadband line. The ACT 4343 Hardwired Broadband Filter has screw terminals for quick and easy connection. It is designed to be fitted adjacent to the panel, or centre plastic section containing the PCB unclipped, so that it can be installed within the control equipment.

If ‘Line Seizure’ is not necessary, the filter can be simply connected between any BT block terminal and the alarm communicator. If ‘Line Seizure’ is a requirement, the filter must be connected in accordance with instructions between the incoming Master BT Socket and the alarm communicator. When connecting filters and communicators, it is essential to test the BT line for correct voltage, polarity and fault conditions by using a telephone test set.
